South Africa is one of the most stunning travel destinations in the world, and Cape Town is a true gem. There’s so much to do and see, as it hosts a hodgepodge of cultures that contributes to the city's eclectic vibe. Cape Town offers an incredible variety of places. From blue flag beaches to award winning wine and everything in between. Cape Town is nestled at the foothills of one of the new 7 wonders of nature, Table Mountain. Offering majestic views of the city through breathtaking hikes or a cable car ride. Yes, it’s a tourist attraction but not to be missed.

With a pretty unique setting, it’s possible in a single day to taste award-winning wine at a local vineyard, surf at a blue flag beach, spend some time with some penguins at Boulders Beach and end your day on top of Table Mountain for a sunset over the Atlantic Ocean.

But to better appreciate Cape Town as it is now, it's important to understand what the city has experienced. Decades of racial and economic oppression invoked by apartheid has left a festering wound. Many people only experience Cape Town's gorgeous beaches and vibrant restaurant scene, those who visit Nelson Mandela's jail cell on Robben Island or peruse the exhibits in the district Museum, see that there's a somber undertone to this otherwise vibrant city.
